Beginner Surf Lessons
Receive all the knowledge you will need to begin surfing, from safety in the water to how to master the pop-up. Lessons and instruction on the beach and in the water in the morning, break for lunch and the chance to practice what you've learned in the afternoon supervised by your instructor
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Feel confident getting out back to the line-up with our instructors. They will assist you in correct wave selection, give tips on turning whilst on the wave and help you adjust your stance to progress your surfing ability.
Advanced Surf Lessons
Explore new and different breaks with the safety of an experienced local surf instructor. Gain experience in jumping out, linking sections and knowing when it's your wave to go for!
Surf Guide
Available during the bigger swell months October through to March - benefit from the guidance of our local surf instructors. Their experience of the varied surf spots will be invaluable for making the most of your surf time. Sunrise to sunset, surf your brains out along some of the best surfing coast line of Morocco.
Yoga
Two daily yoga sessions, offering a mix of Ashtanga style and Vinyasa flow, with surf specific stretches for total rebalance. Every ability is welcome, from first-time to experienced teachers.

The surrounding 10km area of Taghazout & Tamraght have gained legendary status as a surf mecca and without doubt Morocco's surf capital. There are not many places in the world that have waves accessible to beginner, intermediate and advanced surfers but this area has it all.
Taghazout waves includes the beginner/intermediate surf spots Panaromas & Hash's Point. Further south is the long stretch of beach that leads to the next town of Tamraght, a fantastic learner area with two advanced breaks at the south end Devils Rock & Banana Point.
On the north end of town is Moroccos most famous wave, Anchor Point, a world class long right break. And around this headland is La Source & Killers, another two of Moroccos most reliable & famous waves.
10km further north is the town of Tamri which has a great selection of beginner & intermediate waves as well as a few secret spots.

How did you like the accommodation?
Lol I feel still a bit battered and bruised! Loved my stay at the surf house, everyone was really nice and helpful. I felt that I could go to them at any time if there was anything I wondered about or needed. It was tried to plan a trip with the whole or some of the group to Paradise valley, but everyone was just keen on getting back into the water the next day. Me being one of them, I have to admit. This was for me really just a learning/ relaxing holiday. When I travel I tend to make it some sort of road trip experience and am then on the go 2-3 weeks at a time. Not sure when I will manage, but I think I will go back some time.
How were the surf lessons?
The surf lessons were great and I think I managed to achieve something in those few days. The instructors really tried to provide us with the best conditions to learn, even though that seemed to be a challenge some of the days.

How did you like the accommodation?
Accommodation was great, very friendly and welcoming with a brilliant roof top terrace over looking the sunset on the sea.
The staff in the kitchen and restaurant were first class, food was perfectly prepared and delicious everyday. Our room was just what we needed and shared bathroom cleaned everyday.
How were the surf lessons?
The surfing at surfstar was great for that fact they would take you to all the different beaches and find the best spot, equipment was good with nice wetsuits.
However the tuition it’s self for the intermediate group was lacking encouragement, and both positive and constructive feedback. Having said this some of the instructors working with the beginners classes seamed very good and we got to experience one of them on the last day where we noticed a huge difference.
The video feedback was very helpful but would have been nice to hear this when just about to go surfing rather than at night every second day.

It was perfect - just the right set up. The room was really clean and comfy, and the social areas couldn't have been better. To roof terraces were really cool. The food was absolutely amazing every day!
How were the surf lessons?
The instructors were ace and looked after us really well. They really seem to care about helping everybody to improve. The beaches were beautiful and it was great to go to different ones.

How did you like the accommodation?
Wow, what a week! Lucie, Momo and the Surf Star team were great. The accommodation and food were both spot on too! I'm vegetarian and my friend who I visited with is lactose intolerant and our needs were catered to perfectly. he post surf, rooftop yoga with Lucie was great - such an ideal way to end a day out in the waves. It was my first introduction to Yoga, and I am hooked! In the classes Lucie really talks you through the poses and it was such a relaxing environment to learn in. I would 110% recommended it! Whether your a single traveller, travelling with friends or with your family - they welcome you with open arms! A very special place
How were the surf lessons?
The surfing was amazing. The instructors Barak, Hassan, Fadl and Momo provided some of the best instructing I've had yet, and with great instructor to student ratios they were able to really help you progress! I was standing on the first day, and by the end of the week they had let us loose on the green waves. They provide such a supportive and encouraging environment, cheering you on when you catch a wave and offering up invaluable tips to speed along learning. They also cater for different levels of surfers, making sure that those who wanted more of a challenge had a chance to go catch the bigger waves.

How did you like the accommodation?
I had again fun times in the sun and on the water with surfstar crew. This is place where you are well taken care of. Highly recommed to stay here! Love these guys! For sure i will go back to my Moroccan family again! Inchallah! :)
How were the surf lessons?
Instructors Momo, Barak, Hassan and Zac are really focusing on you getting better.. so step by step this beginner is learning more and more every time. They can also arrange anykind of daytrips from other city visits to skateboard/longboading lessons.

How did you like the accommodation?
The rooms are beautiful, with nice marble floors and individual kitchens on every level with a fridge to store any personal snacks although was fully inclusive, the area is very relaxed and although I did not go out much in the area as was well entertained at the hostel by the staff and other holiday goers found all the locals I was in contact with to be easy to communicate with and really friendly so an ideal area with a very relaxed outlook. There is plenty of variation of surfing beaches to try we went a different one every day which was really cool, the surf instructors were all really humble and friendly and just the sort of people you could get along with easily. The staff at the hostel were hilarious and made me laugh every day as well as being super helpful. I would definitely go back to this surf hostel and really enjoyed my holiday.
How were the surf lessons?
The lessons were really good, the waves were not too scary and currents fine really enjoyed surfing here when actually stood as am total beginner if anything just wish had gone for longer. The instructors were great they really look after you and give you confidence and they don't even laugh when you epically wipe out ... as I would if it was someone else!!! Beaches were great always tea and coffee around, horse and camel riding and the odd jewellery or rug seller so always something to do when not surfing!!

I can't praise the guys and girls at Surf Star enough! This was my first surf trip abroad and from the moment i arrived i felt as if i was with a group of friends i had known for years. Lucie and her team go out of their way to make sure you get the best out of your stay. The accommodation has everything you need after a long day in the water with plenty of areas to chill out in. The food was of a good quality and there was always plenty to help you refuel for the next days surfing.
How were the surf lessons?
Momo guided us to the best spots each day to match our and the groups abilities. The quality and selection of boards available was excellent and they did their best to get us the type we needed and the waves too.

How did you like the accommodation?
In a word.. fantastic! Everyone was so welcoming. The team at Surf Star are amazing, friendly and attentive. The other guests were all great fun to share the experience with and to chat with over meals. We booked the yoga for the ladies, which they thought was outstanding, my brother-in-law and I even joined in. Accommodation was comfortable and clean, for a party of 4 guests the layout we had with two bedrooms, shared bathroom and lounge worked really well. Finally, great food, loved the meals plenty to eat of what I would characterise as good home-cooking.
How were the surf lessons?
For the surfing, we managed to get up on the board and ride a wave in on the very first morning - as did each of the beginners that we saw and met at Surf Star - we felt pretty thrilled about that as first timers.

How did you like the accommodation?
The accommodation is very clean and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. The dining area and roof terrace are really nice. Food is fantastic, especially evening meals. The yoga terrace is great with a good panoramic view of the town, the sea and the mountains. The town is great with some nice places to eat/buy food and some surf shops. Its also a 10 minute walk from the beach so you don't need to take a car to get there.
How were the surf lessons?
The surf lessons were great. We got split into small groups of 3-6 people based on ability, the instructors had great knowledge of which spots to go to based on the quality of waves as well as how crowded they were. The instructors were very friendly & approachable and helped everyone progress throughout the week. The evening photo feedback sessions were a great touch and really useful as well as entertaining. The beaches were nice, not too crowded or dirty.

Very clean, super friendly staff, gorgeous rooftop terrass, calm area with some quite nice cafés and also a hammam (definitely recommendable)

It was super cool that we were surfing at different beaches each day so we also got lots to see on the way to the different locations. And I felt well looked after by the surf instructors.

How did you like the accommodation?
After endless visits to Morocco, my times with Surf Star definitely stand out from the rest, and my recent holiday was no exception. Whether you're travelling solo or with a bunch of mates, the team go that extra mile to make your holiday unforgettable. Lucie and co. will help in any way they can, whether its booking day trips or making sure you get a veggie meal at dinner! The Surf Star crew always have plenty of tricks up their sleeves to keep us happy: visits to the souks, traditional tagine meals, hamam massages, surf films, yoga, and of course... surf! Everyone is so welcoming, and it doesn't take long before you feel part of the family - even the locals are always happy to see me back. The team here are very passionate about surf and yoga, aswell as the beautiful country of Morocco, and love sharing this passion with eveyone.
How were the surf lessons?
My surfing has improved so much, all thanks to their patience and advice, and I was always left feeling healthy, energized and stoked; and I nearly booked my next trip before the holiday was over!

How did you like the accommodation?
Our room was awesome, and the whole layout, excellent, also great terace, very homie. Would suggest some games maybe? pool table or table tenis or something like that.
How were the surf lessons?
The lessons were great, instructors gave as much lessons as you wanted, helpfull. I haven't surfed alot before, so at first it was really easy with the help of instructors, they know how to teach, but then you need to be more fit to handle the more challenging beaches.

Great accommodation, bright and spacious with a really authentic friendly atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included and everyone was really impressed with how good it was.
How were the surf lessons?
I booked a week's surf and accommodation deal. I'm pretty much a beginner and found the lessons great. All the instructors are great fun and really patient! Looking forward to my next trip to Surf Star.

How did you like the accommodation?
Accommodation was brilliant; all the suits are small apartments each are made up of quite large rooms and a bathroom. I was in a sharing room for two and it was great. The room was massive, and so were the beds! It was big enough to not feel like you were on top of each other, which was good as both my self and the lads I was sharing with were travelling alone.
The close area is quite residential but there are corner shops close by, so you can get snacks and non alcoholic drinks. Agadir is about 30 min away and when you head out there its great craic. One tip is make sure you bring a few alcoholic drinks with you as you tend to spend the evening with other guests chilling around the table and having a few drinks and the closest supermarket is half an hour away.
How were the surf lessons?
Surf lessons were brilliant, the surf staff are all friendly and chilled- all really good advice and spend the evenings going through photos of the days surfing and if you don't feel like surfing then you can just chill on the beaches. Which are all close by.
