AST Surf Camp is located in the coastal town of La Libertad just 500 steps from the "World Class" wave of Punta Roca and just 50 steps from La Paz. The Surf Camp consist in a three story building, with six comfortable and spacious rooms, three rooms are located on the second floor and share a large balcony overlooking the ocean, on the first floor three rooms, one of them has a private balcony, the other two rooms have ocean views but no balcony.
All rooms have private bathroom with hot water and are equipped with Air Conditioning, Cable TV and WIFI.
On the third floor of the hotel is the restaurant where our guest have their meals. The restaurant is equipped with full bar service, where guest can grab a cold beer or get a tropical drink when watching the sunsets in La Libertad.
AST Surf Camp can accommodate up to 20 guests.
Location
La Libertad is a very traditional and colorful town, just 25 min from El Salvador international Airport. Surfing La Libertad includes the world class wave of Punta Roca, and La Paz not as consistent as Puta Roca but very good for longboarding and intermediate looking to improve their skills.
La Libertad town is very close to San Salvador city and the closest to the International Airport this offers a great advantage for surfers and adventure travelers.
While staying at AST Surf Camp guest have the option to surf other waves in the area, we are in the 20 min drive range of Sunzal, Tunco, K59, K61 and Cocal.

We have great surf all year round, La Paz wave is right in front of Hotel which is a great wave for beginners and intermediate surfers, and just a 3 min walk is the famous and world class wave Punta Roca. Besides the perfect waves peeling close by our facility there's great weather and warm water all year round.

We have the perfect program for lessons for kids from 7yo - 14yo
Kids will learn all the basics about surfing.
Lessons for kids are provided in a safe and fun environment.

Beginner Surf Lessons
Our Surf Lessons for beginners include a full program for complete beginners to learn all the safety, rules and the basics of surfing.
After 1 week of surf training a complete beginner will be able to catch waves and have fun in the line up.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Intermediate Surf Lessons, are perfect for those who already know how to catch waves but want to get better in some techniques like reading waves, duck diving, turning, etct.
Our instructors have all the experience teaching surfing and helping others to reach a higher level on their surfing skills.
Advanced Surf Lessons
This is a surf coaching program designed for surfers that have experience but want to get better in the line up and are looking to improve on some maneuvers. Here we take surfers to different surf spots to have them surfing different waves like beachbreaks and pointbreaks.
Private Surf Lessons
Private surf lessons are based on a 1 on 1 surf training program. This is the best choice if you want to learn or improve your surfing on a short time, here you'll be in the water all the time with a surf instructor proving all the key tips and guidance to learn the art of catching waves.

This is the perfect option for surfers who want to enjoy all the world class waves that El Salvador has to offer.

La Paz

La Paz is the inside section of Punta Roca. La Paz is the easier, softer side of the wave and tends to draw surfers not quite ready for the more serious waves a couple hundred yards north.
Punta Roca
Level: Advanced
The Surf in Punta Roca (aka "La Punta," or, to traveling Americans, "The Point") is a world to class wave that draws comparisons to J to Bay, Noosa, and other standout right to hand, rock to bottom pointbreaks.
Zonte
Level: Intermediate
This is a right hand point break with beautiful settings of the headlands, this is one of the best spots because of it breaks well in any swell direction.
K-59
Level: Advanced
Right point. It is in a gated community of beach houses, but the break is a rock bottom that has good hollow waves. Best at mid to incoming tide.

Sunzal
Level: All Levels
Extremely consistent quasi to world class rock to bottom right point. Tends to be a favorite of San Salvadoran weekend warriors, so with a bit of tact and skill you can have your pick of waves even when it's crowded.
