A Modern Portuguese surf house overlooking the Ocean.
The House can accommodate 16 people in double and shared rooms. All decorated with harmony and comfort.
It has a nice terrace with ocean view, a lounge and BBQ area, from where you can check the surf !
Beside the relaxed ambience, if you like party, we are only minutes from the center of the Village and at least once a week we put on a nice BBQ!
Surf lessons, yoga, guiding , equipment , motorbikes, bikes and other activities are all available
Location
The route following the sea north of Lisbon is one of the most popular tours of the Portuguese coast. Along the way there are some great surprises, like Ericeira, a fishing village with a lot of tradition linked to the sea, now recognised as one of the world’s surfing reserves.
At sea, the daily work of the fishermen is only equalled by the habitual dedication and presence of surfers and bodyboarders, who find here a special refuge. The national champion, Tiago Pires, and many other surfers were born here and have made this small village in the municipality of Mafra known!!

Kids Surf Lessons
We offer lessons to kids from 5 years old, material is included ! The lessons take 2 hours per day, or you can choose 2 lessons per day of 2 hours each. The transfer to and from the beach is included in the prices!
Beginner Surf Lessons
We have packs of half day surf or full day surf, depends of you! Our lessons are very personal , we do have 1 instructor for each 6 people in a mixed group of 18/20 people. You will learn everything from the beginning to be able to surf outside, depending of your time. The transfer to the beach is included on our prices!
Intermediate Surf Lessons
We will pick you up from the accommodation every morning , and take you to the best spots around. You will have a chance to improve your surf skills, as you will have a instructor all the time to give you the best tips to develop.
Private Surf Lessons
We also provide private lessons from 50,00 for 2 hours of surf instruction!

Best time to go depends on your level above. July, August & September are the peak tourist months.
This is where you surf Europe's best coast line and let the fun begin.There are over 12 surf breaks along the Ericeira coast, with different options for all standards. With so much choice you'll feel like a kid in a sweet shop! The area was introduced in the Stormriders Surf Guide to Europe with the heading "Enter the Heartland".
World Surf Reserve
In 2011 it was awarded the title of 'World Surf Reserve', there are only 2 other places in the world that share the title: Santa Cruz, US and Manly, Australia.
If it is your first surfing holiday to Ericeira then head straight to Foz do Lizandro and Sao Juliao beaches south of town, they are perfect beginner and intermediate surf spots. Closer to town is Praia do Sul. Another great beginner beach breaks. All best at mid tide but surfable at high and low tide also.
For Intermediates you have the reliable and safe reef break Ribeira d'Ilhas, which host the WSL World qualifying series surf championships every year. And for the more adventurous you have the world class Coxos. That's just naming a few, there are too many surf breaks to mention here!
Don't forget to explore further up the coast - 25 minutes away is Santa Cruz and an hour away is Peniche, home to the World renowned Supertubos and host of the Rip Curl Pro since 2009. 30 minutes south of Lisbon is the Cascais coast with the famous Praia do Guincho surf beach. And when north winds are blowing you can venture further south towards Carcevelos beach and the other surf spots along the Lisbon coast.

A really nice place and fantastic host. The place was very clean, brightly decorated, convenient and had all the amenities including a working kitchen, good wifi and terrace with a beautiful view. I enjoyed a lot staying here!

Camillas Surf house has just the perfect location in the cute town of Ericeira with a beautiful view over the ocean. Inside, everything is decorated with lots of love for details, paintings and every room has its individual touch. Camilla herself is a lovely, caring host, who always likes to give you advice and who is in a happy mood every day you come across her!

The surf expirience was amazing, everyday different spots, the instructors were very welcoming and experienced.

The house is super modern and pretty! The staff was amzing and super friendly! Awesome rooms with awesome view to the ocean, (good for the surfers among us) or just for everyone who loves the ocean view..

This is a very nice and clean BnB, surf style. But that is not why we would recommend this fantastic place,it's because the rooms are so inviting and the view of the ocean is breath taking. And it is beacuse the hostess is extremly service minded and always made us feel welcome
The vibe and atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming which is very cosy.
If you ever are planning to visit Portugal to surf make sure that you stay at this lovely Surf Bnb !!

The little town is definitely suited for the surfer, with enough clothing and accessory shops supplemented with pastry, good resturants and some local drinking holes. The Art hostel is a great place, clean and fresh, with a great relaxed vibe. The breakfast was good in the morning with freash fruit always available. It felt really quiet when I was there , but it's got a loverly outdoor area and lounge so it must get busier and noiser sometimes. The 2 girls assissting the owner were fantastic and friendly!
How were the surf lessons?
I didn't like the beach, as it was rocky and although you do get booties, when you are learning you want to know if you need to put your feet down you want the ground to feel stable. I was not very good, and was made to feel embarrassed that I couldn't get it. This was because the instructor did not seem overly patient and not the best teacher, some of this may been due to the language barrier a little but not totally. I felt supported only 1 out of 3 lessons when I had a change of instructor.
