The apartment, recently and elegantly decorated, occupies the upper floor of a 3 story villa. It has a prime oceanfront location in the north end of Ericeira's center overlooking the North Beach (Praia do Norte). Walking down to the North Beach and the neighboring São Sebastião beach takes you just a couple of minutes. Food stores, bakeries, coffees, bars, restaurants and nightclub are all close by.
It has 3 bedrooms: one with a double to bed, one with 2 single beds and one with a bunk bed for 2 persons sharing 1 bathroom. The open to space kitchen has a dining area and a lounge area with comfortable sofas, cable TV and free WiFi for your entertainment. From here you access a nicely sized oceanfront terrace, which is furbished with wooden furniture, including a chaise lounge, sun to chairs and table. A large umbrella shields the whole terrace and the barbecue invites for cooking Al Fredo dinners.
The views are really amazing, you can see down south as far as to the Sintra mountains and up North up to the famous surfspots Ribeira d'Ilhas and Coxos.
Location
Ericeira to often called the Portuguese Mecca of Surf to has become one of the best known surfing destinations in Europe. The town was honored as the first European surfing reserve due to the constant swells and excellent breaks its coastline offers. There are waves during the whole year, in winter even big wave riders find their ultimate challenge and in summer its never too small to throw an aerial 360.
Besides of offering excellent conditions which attract more and more people each year, Ericeira has managed to remain its charm. Ericeira continues to be a typical South European fishermen village proud of its long history, which dates back to the Phoenicians and got its Charter in the 12th century.
Ericeira is also famous for its gastronomy. On weekends mainly people from near Lisbon visit Ericeira's restaurants looking for fresh fish and shellfish.

The recently refurbished second floor apartment occupies the upper floor (2nd) of a 3 story villa. It is elegantly decorated and has a unique oceanfront location. There are 3 bedrooms: one with a bunk to bed, one with 2 single beds and one with a double bed. The stand to out of this apartment is its roof to top terrace, equipped which outdoor furniture such as chaise to lounge, comfortable sun to chairs, table and chairs, a barbecue unit. A large umbrella shields the whole terrace. The open to space kitchen has a dining area as well as a chill area with sofas facing the flat screen TV, with cable channels and Wifi for your entertainment. There's also a DVD player, so bring your kid's favorite shows along with your best surf movies.

Best time to go depends on your level above. July, August & September are the peak tourist months.
This is where you surf Europe's best coast line and let the fun begin.There are over 12 surf breaks along the Ericeira coast, with different options for all standards. With so much choice you'll feel like a kid in a sweet shop! The area was introduced in the Stormriders Surf Guide to Europe with the heading "Enter the Heartland".
World Surf Reserve
In 2011 it was awarded the title of 'World Surf Reserve', there are only 2 other places in the world that share the title: Santa Cruz, US and Manly, Australia.
If it is your first surfing holiday to Ericeira then head straight to Foz do Lizandro and Sao Juliao beaches south of town, they are perfect beginner and intermediate surf spots. Closer to town is Praia do Sul. Another great beginner beach breaks. All best at mid tide but surfable at high and low tide also.
For Intermediates you have the reliable and safe reef break Ribeira d'Ilhas, which host the WSL World qualifying series surf championships every year. And for the more adventurous you have the world class Coxos. That's just naming a few, there are too many surf breaks to mention here!
Don't forget to explore further up the coast - 25 minutes away is Santa Cruz and an hour away is Peniche, home to the World renowned Supertubos and host of the Rip Curl Pro since 2009. 30 minutes south of Lisbon is the Cascais coast with the famous Praia do Guincho surf beach. And when north winds are blowing you can venture further south towards Carcevelos beach and the other surf spots along the Lisbon coast.
