Located not far from Lisbon and within walking distance of both Ericeira center and the beach break of Foz do Lizandro, Ericeira Surf House is the perfect accommodation for surfers who want to combine a relaxed holiday with the best possible surf.
As a bed & breakfast for surfers who have outgrown surf camps and want more quality, Ericeira Surf House offers everything you need.
We only accept people aged 18+. Kids with parents are allowed. But anyone under 18 on their own are not allowed.
Location
The Surf House is located just a few steps south of Ericeira in a small and peaceful village called Fonte Boa da Brincosa.
This is the best possible location as it is within walking distance of the surf beach Foz do Lizandro (750m), the break of Praia do Sul (750m) and Ericeira town center (1km). Also the other famous surf breaks, such as Ribeira d’Ilhas, Sao Juliao and Coxos are within easy reach.
The area surrounding the house is full of nature.

Kids Surf Lessons
The minimum age for our lessons is 7 years old. Our teachers are very experienced with kids and take extra care if it comes to safety. That’s also why it’s not every day possible to give lessons to kids. We therefore recommend booking our 3-day surf course. We can then select the best days. Our lessons include surf equipment, transfers and insurance and are 2 hours per lesson.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Our beginner lessons include surf equipment, transfers and insurance and are 2 hours per lesson. The group is split up in groups of maximum 5 students per teacher. This way you get a lot of personal attention and learn as much as possible. Beginner lessons are for safety reasons always on soft boards. A lesson normally lasts for 2 hours. We offer a 3 or 5-day surf course.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Our intermediate lessons include surf equipment, transfers, insurance and are 2 hours per lesson. Intermediates always start on a soft board to see the level of surfing. If according to the teacher your surf level is good enough for a hard board, we change. A lesson normally lasts for 2 hours. We offer a 3 or 5-day surf course.
Advanced Surf Lessons
We also give advanced surf lessons. Our teacher has lots of experience in training top-level surfers, so he can for sure bring your surfing to the next level. With the advanced lessons, you go to different beaches depending on the conditions. For advanced lessons, you need to be able to make angled take offs to both directions, surf a green wave down the line and duck dive your board.

Best time to go depends on your level above. July, August & September are the peak tourist months.
This is where you surf Europe's best coast line and let the fun begin.There are over 12 surf breaks along the Ericeira coast, with different options for all standards. With so much choice you'll feel like a kid in a sweet shop! The area was introduced in the Stormriders Surf Guide to Europe with the heading "Enter the Heartland".
World Surf Reserve
In 2011 it was awarded the title of 'World Surf Reserve', there are only 2 other places in the world that share the title: Santa Cruz, US and Manly, Australia.
If it is your first surfing holiday to Ericeira then head straight to Foz do Lizandro and Sao Juliao beaches south of town, they are perfect beginner and intermediate surf spots. Closer to town is Praia do Sul. Another great beginner beach breaks. All best at mid tide but surfable at high and low tide also.
For Intermediates you have the reliable and safe reef break Ribeira d'Ilhas, which host the WSL World qualifying series surf championships every year. And for the more adventurous you have the world class Coxos. That's just naming a few, there are too many surf breaks to mention here!
Don't forget to explore further up the coast - 25 minutes away is Santa Cruz and an hour away is Peniche, home to the World renowned Supertubos and host of the Rip Curl Pro since 2009. 30 minutes south of Lisbon is the Cascais coast with the famous Praia do Guincho surf beach. And when north winds are blowing you can venture further south towards Carcevelos beach and the other surf spots along the Lisbon coast.

- Your balance is due to the property 28 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 28 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- You can cancel anytime up to 30 days before travelling and you will be refunded the balance.
