Vila Nova de Milfontes is located along the western coast of Atlantic Ocean on the northern margin of the Mira River, falling within the Nature Park of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast. Vila Nova de Milfontes is dominated by a large estuary and ecosystem, dominated by the Mira River that gives shelter to several species of birds and marine life, in addition to wild boar and fox in the surrounding woods.
This also the perfect spot for surfers! During all the years the waves roll on this area but the Autumn, Winter and Spring are the best months! From beach breaks to point breaks, we have all types of waves to all the levels.

SurfMilfontes has a wooden hut in the beach to store material that also represents an informative post and the place where people can rental some surfing material. During the Summer, it’s opened every day.
It Has a sandy bottom with several point breaks, ideal for any surfing level, from beginner to advanced.
