Basecamp is situated in Weligama, a diverse and colourful village in southern Sri Lanka. We are located just across from Weligama harbour overlooking the beautiful ocean. We have 8 rooms in total and a very spacious garden. From our yoga level you can enjoy the view that overlooks almost all of Weligama bay and is also the best spot to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
We welcome you to stay with us and share our way of life whether you are on holiday, on your honeymoon, or simply looking for a long to weekend getaway. We aim to place our max effort towards providing a warm and chilled to out stay for you here at our home, Basecamp! For all of you looking to surf, practice yoga, eat good food, beach to hop, and experience a comfortable stay; feel very welcome to make Basecamp part of your Sri Lankan adventure.
We can accommodate 16 people in total.

Season
November - March is the dry season and has the most consistent surf.
Weligama is a perfect beginner and intermediate surf break. It is arguable the most consistent beach break on the South Coast.
Only a quick 4KM and ten minutes by tuk-tuk from Weligama is the idyllic Mirissa. A quiet stretch of beach that has turquoise and crystal clear waters on beaches fringed by palms.
Mirissa is an established stop-off for surfers, with two breaks at either end of the beach. There is a right-hander reef break near the rocks that doesn’t generate much power, that is great for those who are progressing on to reef. And an equally good left-hander close to the harbour.

CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- You can cancels anytime up to 7 days before travelling and you will not be charged the balance.
