OUR CREW
Elsewhere is owned and run by surfers in their mid 20’s – mid 30’s from all around the world including Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Germany, France and Russia. Whether it’s yoga, surfing or partying we’ve got you covered. We have the best team on our little island; with a mix of locals and travelers, our team will make your holiday one to remember.

South to West Sri Lanka, that is were we are based and is simply the best location for a great surf experience for every level.
Located in Kaparatotha, the beach side off the noisy highway and a peaceful small fishing village, we are right in the middle of the best surfing spots Sri Lanka has to offer.
3 Surfspots and a beautiful beach are a 2 minute walk down the road where a good surf and beautiful sunsets are guaranteed.
Other Famous surfspots in the area, you can easily reach with a Tuk Tuk within maximum 25 Minutes ride are:
The Rock and Kabalana (25 min), Coconuts, Rams, Plantation, Lazy Left and Lazy Right (10 min), Weligama Bay (5 min) and so on.

Weligama
Level: Beginner
Weligama is only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride form our camp. It's a good spot for beginners where you can catch white water and sometimes when the swell is bigger some green waves.
This spot is not so crowded which is perfect for beginners
Kabalana
Level: All Levels
Kabalana : Kabalana is a spotc15 minutes from our surf camp by tuk tuk. There you can catch some powerful white water which is perfect for beginners to catch their first own waves. As it’s a long beach, we have a lot of space to do our lesson. Further up the ocean is another spot called Rocks , which is good for intermediate and advanced surfers.
Fishermans
Level: Intermediate
Fisherman is a spot 1 minute by tuk tuk or a 7 minute walk from camp. It's a place where intermediate surfers can catch green waves. Usually busy, its a spot which allows you to paddle out a bit further than usual but it's worth it once you get to the outside. Usually small, this wave is easy to catch and offers you a long ride.
Jungle Beach
Level: All Levels
Jungle is the closest spot from our camp. We can go walking with the boards and it’s a beautiful small beach. You have two different waves (right and left). The right one is for inter medium which can ride a green wave. The left one is for intermedium/advanced surfers which can turn on the green wave.
Petrol Station
Level: All Levels
Petrol is a spot at 10 minutes by tuk tuk from Elsewhere. It’s a spot where you have left and right waves, beautiful landscape, and almost always empty. This spot is for intermedium when the swell is small and advanced when the swell is bigger.

Season
November - March is the dry season and has the most consistent surf.
Weligama is a perfect beginner and intermediate surf break. It is arguable the most consistent beach break on the South Coast.
Only a quick 4KM and ten minutes by tuk-tuk from Weligama is the idyllic Mirissa. A quiet stretch of beach that has turquoise and crystal clear waters on beaches fringed by palms.
Mirissa is an established stop-off for surfers, with two breaks at either end of the beach. There is a right-hander reef break near the rocks that doesn’t generate much power, that is great for those who are progressing on to reef. And an equally good left-hander close to the harbour.

PAYMENT
- A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
- Your balance is due to the property 28 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 28 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- You can cancel anytime up to midday the day before and you will be refunded the balance.
