Location

Located on the iconic Praia do Pontal beach, in Rio de Janeiro, our Surf Club is where surfing and experiences bring tourists from all over the world and the local community together, only 30 minutes from the central locations of Rio de Janeiro.

With a stretch of soft and clear sand 2.5 km long, part of a coastal area stretching more than 18 km with several kiosks, bars and restaurants, Praia do Pontal beach is more than just a beach. It is one of the most exciting outdoor areas in Rio de Janeiro that offers many activities to delight individual adventurers and families.

The Place

With two fully equipped balinese style houses in front of the beach, one block away from each other, the Surf Club Longboard Paradise and its extension Longboard Suites offer various types of accommodation for our guests: we can accommodate up to 107 guests in 4 modern Shared Rooms & 7 Private Rooms sharing comfortable bathrooms and 10 Suites with private bathrooms.

We do also have a chilling area with pool and sauna, a surf garage to store and prepare your boards, wash & dry your wetsuit and a functional gym for you to train or attend one of our yoga classes.

Tw restaurants & bars inside our Houses will make sure that wherever you dine at Longboard Paradise, it’s different – expect friendly local vibes, beachy charm and snap-worthy dishes. It’s where you you’ll enjoy fresh flavours, breathe in the bracing ocean air and feel truly alive. Enjoy amazing hamburgers and local dishes at Ibelli & local vibes and unforgettable classics at Malibu Mazinho.

Surf Lessons we offer:

Private Surf Lessons

Our surf lessons include an experienced instructor (one instructor per each 3 participants) and all equipment, surf board, lash and a lycra in case needed. The duration of the lesson is of approx. 1:30 - 2:00 hours long. You will be meeting directly in our surf club, and you will be going to the surfing point with our instructor just in front of our accomodations.
