- Return Transport by speedboat from the “Mentawai Fast Ferry” stop in Tua Pejat to our Resort. This transport takes about 10 minutes.

Location

Awera Resort is strategically located within easy access of a huge range of waves. In the bay of the beach itself there are three breaks, but we also have a fleet of boats to take guests to over ten additional nearby spots. With this host of waves at our disposal, there’s something to suit every style of surfing and every ability level — a true surfer’s paradise.

The Mentawai Islands are renowned worldwide as a surfer’s paradise, and the reason for that is simple: the incredible abundance and variety of waves, unmatched anywhere else on Earth. There are left to handers and right to handers, rippable walls and perfect barrels, easy waves for beginners, challenging waves for experts, and everything in between.

This is without doubt one of the world’s foremost surfing destinations, with a range of waves that is practically infinite.

The Place

We are a small exclusive resort; we have 11 properties with a total of 16 villas and we canter for a maximum of 51 guests. Awera really is an extraordinary setting with luxury facilities and dream surf spots. Directly in front of our beach there are 3 breaks, a couple within paddle distance. In this quieter area of the Mentawai there’s always something to suit every style of surfing and every level, a true surfer’s paradise.

It's not all about surfing though! We have a stunning infinity pool and the first thermal Spa in the Mentawais, with a high range of massages and natural treatments. Get active and explore by SUP, clear kayak, snorkel & hike our waterfall trail, not forgetting the daily yoga sessions in the best setting. Our new activities include cinema, lifestyle photography, live music, pizza cooking lessons & more.

Our team prides themselves in making you feel at home. A nutritionist designed the menus, focused on healthy, fresh, local produce with a modern twist. Our beach bar with music, cocktails, wine and good times. Our focus is you and we strive in creating the most relaxing environment in the resort to give you an incredible holiday experience.
