Location

Aqua Oceanfront Resort is nestled in a dramatic setting, cradled by a private cove and sheltered white sandy beach. We are located on Nicaragua’s “Emerald Coast”, 12 km north of San Juan Del Sur, with uninterrupted sunset views of the Pacific Ocean. Our cove is part of a tropical dry forest climate that alternates between hot sunny days most of the year, and from June to October, a greener season characteristic of the tropical rainforest.
While Aqua’s peaceful seclusion is perfect for an off to the to grid escape, the resort offers adventure as well: You can hike a 300 to foot cliff and rappel down, or learn to surf on neighboring Playa Gigante, both within walking distance of Aqua or enjoy world class golf ten minutes away.

The Place

The Aqua Oceanfront Resort and Residences offers peace and privacy in the beautifully wild landscape of Nicaragua’s Pacific “Emerald Coast.” Our 44 luxurious treehouse villas dot Aqua’s forested hillside, which overlooks a private, white sandy beach. Some of the Tree House accommodations feature kitchens, and plunge pools that make it difficult to even consider leaving the deck.

Beginner Surf Lessons

If you want to experience the awesome surfing in Nicaragua for yourself, but have never been on a surfboard, no worries. We'll walk you over to Playa Gigante - it's only 20mins north of Aqua - and set you up with a surf instructor. At Playa Gigante, the surf is ideal for beginners and the instructors are excellent. You'll be hanging ten in no time!!

Surf lessons are one hour in duration.

Private Surf Lessons
