Location

The Lodge is perfect for surfers as it is just a short walk to the surf spot Praia da Furadouro with uncrowded peaks and a great base for exploring excellent waves around. Within a stretch of 15 km coastline, more than 25 waves wait to be discovered.

The Lagoon behind the Villa offers Kitesurfing and Stand Up Paddle conditions as well as stunning bike trails to go Birdwatching and observe Flamingos. The Lodge is just a short walk to Praia da Furadouro. All year round we have comfortable temperatures, 300 days of sunshine and pure Atlantic Ocean air. Surf for every level, from glassy peelers to powerful tubes on blue flag beaches. Depending on swell and wind directions, there is always an option.

Furadouro has a charming historic center. You will find superb local restaurants that serve Portuguese and International dishes for great prices. Not to mention the grilled fish plates, that arrived in the morning and were just caught from the local fishermen in the sea. Cosy cafés, fancy beach bars, delicious ice cream parlors and crêpe stands as well as a sparkling nightlife. It is all just a stone’s throw away.

Ovar, known as the living museum of tiles, is 3km away and easy to reach by bike. Porto, a class of its own, is just a 30min train ride, as well as Aveiro, the so called Venice of Portugal.

Just 30 km from Porto by the coast lies Furadouro,a picturesque seaside village nestled between endless virgin beaches,the Nature Park of Maceda Pine Forest and the Lagoon Ria de Aveiro.

The sessions take place at our beginner-friendly homespot Furadouro, wild beaches of Maceda, mellow waves of Cortegaça, funny beach breaks of Esmoriz or on the famous right handers of Espinho.
