The surf house is a rural house, located in the town of Somo, Cantabria. We are 5 minutes walk from the one of the best surf beaches in Spain, over 4 km of white sandy beach in the bay of Santander.

The Place

The Wave Somo Surf House is located in a unique natural environment in Playa de Somo, Spain, where guests can enjoy a cozy place to stay and an unforgettable experience.

We have a large garden where you can store your boards, wash and dry your suit, relax and barbecue with friends and other guests.

How did you like the accommodation?

     

The accommodation was excellent - and the hosts even offered us a nicer room as the place was fairly empty given it was the last week of the season. The area and restaurants were excellent and the surf bar was a great venue to hang out in.

The food at the hostel was really good, they were generous with the wine - and were always keen to accomodate us - even the vegetarian!

How did you like the surf lessons?

     

The lessons were good fun and very helpful. I'd say in Spanish they were more helpful than English, and my brother who only speaks English struggled a little bit with Andres' English at times, but overall very much worth the investment.

The beach was excellent and the general approach of all the guys at the hostel is to make sure you enjoy surfing and have an excellent time.
