Location

Our Surf House is located 5 minutes away from other sports activities, such as Horse Riding, Padel, Kayaking, Paintball, Go Karting. Santander is 20 minutes away by either car or ferry and it only takes 5 minutes by car to get to the beaches of Langre and Galizano.

The Place

Latas Surf House, is an establishment located between the towns of Somo and Loredo, only 5 minutes away from Loredo beach. The house has its own surf school and a bar-restaurant and has chill out and common areas. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The accommodation offers a variety of shared rooms, with a capacity of 4 to 8 people, all with private or shared bathroom, with bath or shower.

The accommodation also has common areas such as gym, garden, chiringuito-barbecue area, volleyball court, mini skate ramp. Our Surf School organizes surfing activities for all levels. The surfing activities include equipment hire and surf lessons in the morning with qualified instructors in groups with a maximum capacity of 8 people. In the afternoon we have 2 hours of surfing supervised by our instructors.

Dinner is available on site each day, prices vary.

How did you like the accommodation?

     

Really happy staff! Nice accommodation, friendly people and great surf. I am lactose intolerant and vegetarian so they made special food for me every day!! I had a issue with my bedroom and they fixed it the same day. Proof enough of being a place with professionals working hard and being really helpful

I did progress! Marti and all the other instructors were great. Giving loads of feedback and helpful.

Location is great!Staff is great! Atmosphere too!
Once there you don’t need anything else!
They do pick up at the airport. You can go walking in 10 minutes in Somo and Loredo.

How did you like the surf lessons?

     

Very nice and good teachers, but the classes are just for beginners.

We surf at Somo beach, a 3.5km long sandy beach where waves for all levels break. The east side of the beach is better shielded allowing smaller waves to break and making it the perfect place for beginners to learn. A little more to the west is ‘La Curva’, a famous peak known for its quality of waves for the more experienced surfer.

A great introduction to surfing lesson, explaining the equipment and the basics to catching a wave

Practice made on the beach and in the sea

Two hours of supervised free surf in the afternoon (outside the hours of lessons) with surf material included (from 18 years and above)

Intermediate Surf Lessons

For the person who has surfed before and wants to learn some more skills to better their surfing

Theory class of one hour (Ask about availability in classes of six hours or less)
Two hours of supervised free surf in the afternoon (outside the hours of lessons) with surf material included (from 18 years and above)

Advanced Surf Lessons

Detailed guidance to catching better waves and what to do and not to do
