About 30km north of Ixtapa, and Zihuatanejo, on Mexico's gorgeous Pacific coast, is a small gathering of surf spots known as Troncones. We built our retreat in the heart of this area, removed from the tourist hustle and steps from the sand. Like the locale, our hostel has a relaxed, natural atmosphere, but also offers state to of to the to art amenities and full to service comfort. We are not the average hostel.
Designed to coexist with nature, the Hostel has tropical landscaping and amazing views. It's also completely private, with enclosed grounds and natural energy features that support the environment. We utilize a grey water system, and the latest technology in composting toilets. Troncones Point Hostel is the first and only hostel in Troncones and surroundings.

Location
Troncones is a relatively undeveloped, uncrowded beach village located about 20 miles (30 km) South of Zihuatanejo on the coast of the state of Guerrero.It has a population of about 600 people. Hammocks and palm trees are in most yards, chickens roam the streets and loud nightlife is limited to very few weekly events, making for quiet nights. Some local hotels and restaurants offer special events such as Movie Nights and Dance Parties, mostly during the Oct to May high season.
We are in front of a great left point break and in reach of 12 breaks within an hour. (car rental advised).

Casa Cielo is a superior place to relax! The private balcony is ideal for stargazing and watching moon rises. Cielo has a beautiful view of the coastal mountains where you can see sun and moon rises from bed! Your sleeps will be peaceful in our comfortable bamboo frame beds with cozy mattresses, down pillows, and pure cotton linen. What better place to come to relax and enjoy nature. This room offers all the comforts you’ll need to enjoy your vacation, even a small kitchen!

Casa Colibri is our largest room and is ideal for family or group of friends. It has a half to moon shaped patio with hammock for peaceful afternoon siestas. The main room has a king bed with en to suite bathroom and a queen and an individual bed in the mezzanine. Ideal for a family of five. The room with it’s high ceilings make you feel that you are staying in a mansion. It’s tastefully decorated with local Mexican ceramics and art. Truly a private retreat.

Casita Tierra is our mix 6 to bed dorm room with a private toilet and a terrace to hang out or wax your board. Ideal for a group of surfers or the individual that is looking for a cheap option in the area.

Casa Conejo is our private dorm room with a max of 3 people. It's ideal for a family or a group of friends traveling together. Once you walk thru the door you will understand where the name ' rabbit hole' comes from.

Troncones Point
Level: Advanced
Right in front of the hostel you'll find Troncones Point surf break. This is a steady left break with a bed of rocks and sea urchins. With a SW swell and decent height, it can tube if you are lucky. We would advise only advanced surfers to go and paddle out.
Waves tend to be smaller in the winter, and the best SW swells are there from May to October.
The Ranch
Level: All Levels
This is one of the best spots in the area of Troncones. It is suited for short boards or long boards and can have double overhead at the good days. Make sure you try the 'huevos rancheros' at the restaurant.
Saladita
Level: All Levels
Saladita is referred to as 'Wavemachine' or 'the Malibu of the south'. It can be surfed on a long board or short board and it's normal to be 1 minute on the board. In general it works all year round.
Troncones Beach
Level: All Levels
Along the 2 mile road in Troncones, you will find fun sandbars nestled up against various rock clusters. The best spot is at the bridge but if you ask a local he can take you to different beach breaks along the road. Takes swell year round from all directions

- Your balance is due to the property 14 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 14 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- You can cancel anytime up to 30 days before travelling and you will be refunded the balance.
